Deep Tissue Massage Therapists use strong, deep techniques to penetrate the deeper tissues of the body. Scar tissue and muscular adhesions are broken up allowing increased movement and reduction of pain. Deep Tissue Therapists may combine techniques including deep muscle therapy, connective tissue massage and pressure point therapy.

The highest qualified doesn't always give the best massage.  Many of the top massage therapists
have a natural ability or intuition that gives them the ability to do great treatments.  Tom Bowen
was a great example of this.  Even so the sudy of anatomy, physiology, and neurology cannot
be underestimated so minimal standards for all massage therapists should be met.
