It really is disappointing how little people know about massage.  Most of the public don't even know that massage has therapeutic benefits.  This of course falls back to the profession doing a very poor job on promotion.  As anyone in the profession knows, massage is fantastic.

To start with a massage therapist doesn't just give you 3 minutes, crack your back and send you on your way.  Nor do they put a heat pack on you and leave you by yourself for 40 minutes while they attend to someone else.   With a massage, the therapist is with you the whole time (or should be).  You know you are getting your monies worth.

A remedial massage therapist is trained to assess and treat most forms of injury both acute and chronic, as well as general complaints including slow and fast onset.  RSI, carpal tunnel syndrome, headaches, sporting injuries and chronic back pain are all treatable with massage.

All types of massage have a therapeutic effect.  They all help venous and lymphatic flow and the removal of metabolic wastes by mechanic flushing.  Relaxation massage is great to relax your body and mind (the benefits are huge) but will help very little with a frozen shoulder so choose a therapist or style to suit your need.

If you have never had a massage or want to try something new, peruse the styles on the left and see what suits you.  Don't be afraid to ask a few questions before you book and always check they are properly qualified.
